We are Delbert and Margie Westphal and we live in Minnetrista, Minnesota. We have been involved with showing dogs since 1991. We have 37 Champions that were mostly owned-handled.

We breed on a very limited basis of 1 to 2 litters per year. All of our pet puppies are sold on a spay/neuter contract with limited registration. Our puppies do not go to their new homes until they are at least 12 weeks of age.

Del is the past President for the Twin Cities Shih Tzu Club (TCASTC). He is also the Breeder Referral contact for TCASTC. Del is the treasurer for the American Shih Tzu Club (ASTC) Charitable Trust. Del was the Show Chairman for the 1996 and 2003 ASTC National Specialty. He has been a member of ASTC since 1995 and a member of TCASTC since 1991.

Margie is a past Vice-President of the TCASTC and is currently the Secretary of the club, a position she has held for several years. Margie has held numerous committee positions for our local Specialty. She has been the Recording Secretary for the ASTC since 1996. She is one of the Breeder Referral contacts for ASTC, the AKC legislative Liaison for ASTC, and a board member of the ASTC Charitable Trust. Margie has been a member of ASTC since 1991 and a member of TCASTC since 1992.

Prior to moving to Minnesota, Del and Margie were members of the Sioux Empire Kennel Club in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Del had a stroke in 2008 and is now retired but is doing volunteer work at two local hospitals.  Margie is an MIS Administrator for a Electrical, Plumbing and HVAC distributor.

We are members of the Twin Cities Area Shih Tzu Club, The Shih Tzu Club of Wisconsin's Fox Valley, and the American Shih Tzu Club.
